Özüm Nur Çakmakcı

Biography:
Özüm Nur Çakmakcı, BSc, graduated in 2021 from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics
at Marmara University. She is currently a third-year student in the Department of Exercise
and Sports Sciences at Istanbul University Faculty of Sports Sciences. In 2022, she
completed a 3-module Functional Medicine training for dietitians at the Functional Medicine
Platform. Since 2025, she has been continuing her education as a GAPS Practitioner. She
has participated in more than 10 courses on Clinical Phytotherapy, Aromatherapy, Practical
Use of Dietary Supplements, Intuitive Eating, and Obesity Surgery.
Between 2017 and 2021, she completed over 10 internships as a volunteer in the clinics of
Functional Medicine Practitioners (doctors and dietitians), Bariatric Surgery clinics, corporate
gyms, and with expert dietitians in the field of Sports Nutrition. She has been working as a
clinical nutrition expert at Esenler Municipality for 3 years. During this time, she has taken
part in various roles such as conducting public health seminars, providing nutrition training
and consultancy to amateur and professional sports clubs, speaking in radio programs on
healthy living, and offering corporate nutrition services.
