Hülya Özüdoğru
Hülya Özudoğru graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology in 2004. Following her graduation, she worked in a genetic laboratory until 2006 before transitioning into the field of embryology. She served as an embryologist at an IVF center in Adana for five years, gaining extensive experience in assisted reproductive technologies. In 2011, she played a pivotal role in establishing the IVF unit at a private hospital in Mersin. Beyond her scientific endeavors, Hülya has a strong passion for the sea and underwater exploration. She obtained a professional sailing license and became a CMAS 3-star diver, immersing herself in the wonders of the underwater world. To further enhance her expertise, she pursued a master’s degree in Histology and Embryology at Mersin University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2011. During her studies, she also worked as a volunteer lecturer at Sahlgrenska University Hospital IVF Clinic in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she expanded her knowledge in reproductive sciences. Throughout her master’s program, she gained proficiency in electron microscopy, tissue processing techniques, immunofluorescence methods, experimental animal models, and cell culture techniques. In 2015, she joined Mersin University Hospital as a biologist, where she worked in various fields such as Biochemistry and Hematology, applying routine diagnostic methods. The COVID-19 pandemic led her to work as a responsible biologist in the COVID-19 laboratory, conducting PCR-based diagnostic studies.Her interest in sports and outdoor activities continued with rowing, adding another dimension to her personal growth. In 2022, Hülya transitioned into academia as a lecturer at Mersin University Vocational School of Health Services. In 2024, she began her PhD studies in Biochemistry at Mersin University’s Faculty of Pharmacy, furthering her academic career.
