Leyla Karakaş
Leyla Karakaş graduated from the Food Technology program at Bursa Uludağ University, Technical Sciences Vocational School in 2015. The following year, she was admitted to the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Biruni University, where she completed her undergraduate education in 2019. She then pursued an integrated master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, which she successfully completed in 2021 with her thesis titled “Evaluation of Dietary Inflammatory Index and Nutritional Status-Related Health Parameters in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLEDAI Disease Activity Index)”, earning the title of Specialist Dietitian. In 2022, she deepened her expertise by participating in the 4th Term Epigenetics Coaching training, successfully completing two levels of education in epigenetics and nutrigenetics. Between 2020 and 2025, she worked alongside Prof. Dr. Türkkan Evrensel in a private oncology clinic, providing nutritional counseling to cancer patients. Through this experience, she gained valuable insights into the critical role of nutrition in disease management. In 2024, she commenced her PhD studies in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Haliç University, furthering her research and expertise in clinical nutrition and epigenetics. As of 2025, she continues her professional journey by opening her own clinic in Bursa, where she offers personalized nutritional counseling.
