Meltem Demir

She graduated from Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 1989. Between 1989 and 2000,
she worked as a general practitioner. In 2001, she started her residency in the Department of
Biochemistry at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine and completed it in 2005. From 2005
to 2009, she worked as a biochemistry specialist and deputy chief physician at Antalya Dünya
Medical Center. In 2009, she started working as a biochemistry specialist at Antalya Medical
Park Hospital. Between 2013 and 2015, she served as deputy chief physician at the same
hospital, then as chief physician from 2016 to 2023. Since 2023, she has been working as
acting general manager.
She earned the title of Associate Professor in 2022. Between 2019 and 2023, she lectured as a
faculty member at Antalya Bilim University Vocational School of Health Services. She holds
degrees in Health Institutions Management and Philosophy from Anadolu University. She
also received Conscious Hypnosis training at Yeditepe University and later officially certified

her hypnosis course through the Antalya Provincial Health Directorate's GETAT program. In
2024, she received a trainer training certificate from the Continuous Education Center of
Antalya Bilim University.
She is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Association of Clinical
Biochemistry Specialists, the Turkish Society of Clinical Biochemistry, the Turkish
Biochemical Society, and the Women Doctors Education Support Foundation (KAHEV).
She is an amateur theater actress and writer. In 2015, she participated in a social responsibility
project on "Child Brides," raising awareness and drawing attention to the issue through TV
channels. As part of a storybook series published in collaboration with KAHEV, she wrote a
book titled Sihirli Kalem. In 2023, she published a storybook called Albatross, and with its
proceeds, she established a library at İskenderun Primary School through KAHEV in memory
of her doctor friend, Ebru Gündüz, who was lost in the Hatay earthquake.
She is a licensed tennis and swimming athlete and also runs marathons.
She is married and has two children.
